BERNINA Free-Hand System (FHS)

The knee lever/free-hand system (FHS) makes it easier to handle difficult, fine fabrics. The presser foot lifter is operated comfortably with the knee, leaving the hands free to guide the fabric.

With the BERNINA foot controller and DC motor, you perfectly control the speed, sewing stitch by stitch or at up to 1,500 stitches per minute.

The slide-on table is used to increase the sewing area to the left of the sewing area. It enables easier guiding of large fabrics and a better view of the sewing project.
