The bernette 48 is the top model of the FUNLOCK series and is a combination of an overlock and a coverstitch machine. It offers a total of 23 stitches: 15 overlock, 3 cover, 4 combo and 1 chain stitch, overlock stitches with a stitch width of up to 7 mm, cover stitches with stitch widths of 2.8 or 5.6 mm and combo stitches with a stitch width of up to 10 mm. Threading is facilitated by color-coded thread paths, and in the needle area a manual threader assists threading into the needles. The bottom hook and chain hook have a mechanical threading aid. The knife is operated from below, ensuring not only a neatly trimmed fabric edge, but also safe handling and can be conveniently adjusted with one hand. The bright LED light ensures a well illuminated sewing and threading area. The bernette Funlock 48 sewsat speeds up to 1300 stitches per minute.
